Leather Journal Cover

An elegant leather cover for your favorite sketchbook or journal. Sized to fit the large classic Moleskin book (5 inches wide x 8-1/4 inches tall x approx. 5/8 inches thick). Optional colored exterior, natural leather interior. Each cover is hand finished, resulting in a unique color and texture variation. The material is vegetable tanned, American steer hide from St. Louis, Missouri. Comes with a lined journal notebook.

What make this cover different from other designs found online?

• Made from American leather by Bob Gassman
• Full-grain, vegetable tanned leather (many covers are chrome tanned, “genuine” leather). Vegetable tanned leather ages beautifully and gains a sought after patina. Full-grain means the topmost part of a hide, which is the absolute most durable layer of a hide, full of natural character.
• Hand dyed and finished with bees wax, resulting in a one-of-a-kind item.
• Burnished and sealed edges (most edges are left ragged and raw.) Edge finishing is a detail that differentiates a quality leather item from a mediocre, mass-produced item.
